MegazoneCloud and Rabbit Work jointly build the first cloud rendering environment in the advertising industry

• CG production speed innovation… High-performance cloud environment design for real-time content delivery

Megazone Cloud (CEO Yom Dong-hoon), a leading AI and cloud company, and Rabbitwork, a visual effects (VFX)-based advertising content production company, jointly built the industry's first cloud-based rendering environment, securing high-performance content production capabilities.

This project is significant beyond simple infrastructure construction, as Megazone Cloud and Rabbitwork designed a cloud-based production environment through joint R&D that can deliver high-quality results in a timely manner even under tight schedules. While existing on-premises infrastructure struggled to address the surge in real-time content demand and GPU resource acquisition challenges, this collaboration provided a practical solution.

Megazone Cloud and Rabbitwork jointly analyzed Rabbitwork's existing workflow based on RendiWorks, Megazone Cloud's media-specialized offering built on AWS Deadline Cloud, and designed and implemented customized cloud infrastructure according to requirements. In particular, by applying the CMF (Customer Managed Fleets) method that allows customers to directly control infrastructure, both flexibility and autonomy were secured simultaneously.

During the infrastructure construction process, the two companies jointly planned and executed various technical tasks including ▲ensuring work consistency between on-premises and cloud ▲high-resolution rendering performance experiments ▲cost-effectiveness verification ▲emergency schedule response capability, achieving a level of technical completeness applicable to actual production sites.

As a result, rendering work that previously took an average of 32 minutes per frame in the on-premises environment was reduced to 15-16 minutes in the cloud environment, recording approximately 100% speed improvement. Large-scale parallel processing can also be completed within an hour, establishing a production system that can flexibly respond to repeated revision requests and urgent deadlines.

Park Chan-mok, 3D Team Leader at Rabbitwork, said, "This cloud-based rendering environment construction is not just a simple technology adoption, but a starting point for infrastructure transformation for real-time content production. Through the RendiWorks-based environment, we can now respond at a speed where morning requests are delivered in the afternoon of the same day, and overall production efficiency has significantly improved."

Going forward, we plan to build a flexible production environment where digital content creation (DCC) tool usage, real-time collaboration, and rendering are connected in one flow, and provide a cloud-based production system where work can be done together regardless of location or equipment through login integration and collaboration system linkage."

Rabbitwork is progressively conducting PoC and technical consultations for real-time interactive content production based on Megazone Cloud and AWS's AI services. In the future, the company plans to expand its business scope to develop next-generation immersive content by converging GPU cloud infrastructure, generative AI technology, and interactive elements.
