MegazoneCloud signs SCA with AWS...cooperation in 3 key areas including AI

  • Supporting customers in three key areas: generative AI, cloud migration and modernization, and AWS Marketplace expansion

Megazone Cloud (CEO Yom Dong-hoon), a leading AI and cloud company, has signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is strengthening cooperation in three key areas including AI.

The SCA is an agreement signed with partner companies to maintain strategic and long-term cooperation beyond typical business relationships. Through the SCA, both companies plan to support customers in ▲accelerating generative AI innovation ▲cloud migration and modernization ▲expanding global reach through the AWS Marketplace.

In the generative AI field, Megazone Cloud plans to identify opportunities for companies to strengthen business performance by leveraging AI across various industries such as manufacturing, finance, and retail, and to systematically support generative AI adoption. To this end, AWS will provide Megazone Cloud with training on the latest cloud AI technologies such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Nova. Megazone Cloud plans to develop industry-specific generative AI use cases using AWS technology and support customers in smoothly transitioning from pilot stages to actual operational stages, connecting to business outcomes. Additionally, the company plans to expand cooperation with enterprises and create new business opportunities through various face-to-face engagement opportunities such as on-site seminars.

Megazone Cloud is helping customers create tangible business value through its proprietary service 'GenAI360', which provides comprehensive support from consulting to implementation and operation, enabling customers to simplify the generative AI adoption process, improve product quality management, and optimize resources. Major companies such as Hansol Paper, HY (formerly Korea Yakult), and Hana Tour have already successfully built user-friendly generative AI using AWS's generative AI services and GenAI360. Through this agreement, the company plans to support business innovation for a wider range of enterprises. In particular, in November of last year, the company was selected as the only domestic partner of AWS's 'Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance', demonstrating its expertise and competitiveness in the generative AI field.

In the cloud migration and modernization field, Megazone Cloud plans to combine its HyperMig solution with the AWS migration framework to support large-scale workload transitions. HyperMig is a solution that comprehensively supports the entire process from the initial stage of collecting, diagnosing, and analyzing infrastructure and system data to establishing and executing migration strategies. By utilizing HyperMig, companies can contribute to shortening migration time, reducing risks, and improving accuracy.

Based on its Migration Center organization and more than 500 technical personnel, Megazone Cloud provides professional support to help enterprises smoothly transition to a cloud-native environment. Through this SCA, Megazone Cloud plans to propose migration strategies optimized for various industries such as manufacturing and finance, and support companies' efficient digital transformation. AWS will provide training to Megazone Cloud to address the latest AWS technologies and provide dedicated solution architects to strengthen cloud technology capabilities.

In the AWS Marketplace field, Megazone Cloud plans to focus on increasing accessibility to cloud-based software and services from domestic and international independent software vendors (ISVs). The AWS Marketplace is an online platform that enables AWS partners to search, use, purchase, deploy, and manage solutions.

Megazone Cloud plans to partner with and support approximately 110 ISVs that are optimized for the AWS environment to effectively promote and sell their software through the AWS Marketplace. To this end, the company plans to establish a dedicated organization and regularly hold ISV conferences, AWS Marketplace seminars, and meetup events to activate exchanges between customers and ISVs, thereby increasing AWS Marketplace utilization.

Ham Ki-ho, CEO of AWS Korea, said, "AWS is supporting companies of all sizes to innovate with the latest cloud technologies such as generative AI," and added, "By combining AWS's generative AI, migration and modernization services with Megazone Cloud's expertise, we will strengthen customer competitiveness across various industries, increase accessibility to cloud solutions through the AWS Marketplace, and contribute to the domestic digital economy."

Yom Dong-hoon, CEO of Megazone Cloud, said, "This SCA signing will be an opportunity for a new leap forward in cloud innovation following 12 years of cooperation between the two companies," and added, "Through strategic cooperation in three key areas, we will do our best to provide practical help in strengthening customers' business competitiveness."

Megazone Cloud and its affiliated companies, based on approximately 2,800 cloud professionals, became the first unicorn company in the domestic cloud MSP industry and achieved sales of 1.5106 trillion won in 2023. In addition to Korea, the company operates local subsidiaries in eight overseas countries including the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, Shanghai and Beijing in China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
