Soo-young Wi, head of the Halo unit at Megazone Cloud, emphasized that the company will transform into one that provides optimal security services most suitable for the cloud and AI era.

The unit head oversees the security domain at Megazone Cloud. The department name 「Halo」 that he leads embodies Megazone Cloud's security direction and philosophy. HALO is an acronym for Hyperscale (H), AI Security (A), Lifecycle Security (L), and Zero Trust Security (O). The company's goal is to provide security technologies and services suited to the cloud and AI era.

The unit head said, 「The cloud and AI era is difficult to address with conventional security methods,」 and introduced, 「Our strength is that by adding the cloud expertise and AI technological capabilities that Megazone Cloud has accumulated over the years, we provide security services that other companies cannot offer.」

Megazone Cloud has significantly strengthened its security domain since this year. Following the recruitment of security expert Wi as the unit head to establish a comprehensive security system, the company plans to expand its workforce to approximately 150 people in the near future.

Through this, the company provides end-to-end security services including not just solutions but also consulting, compliance issue response, and monitoring.

The unit head said, 「Based on specialized personnel and services covering everything from multi-cloud to AI, we provide security systems optimized for AI and cloud environments,」 and emphasized the differentiation from competitors, 「We also support security needed across AI, from data and models to applications, which are the core of the AI era, beyond cloud infrastructure.」

Megazone Cloud plans to sequentially introduce security solutions and services from the second half of the year. It will launch email security services, 「Managed Detection and Response (MDR),」 remote monitoring services, and breach diagnosis services. The strategy is to propose security services suitable for company sizes, not just large enterprises but also mid-sized, small, and startup companies.

Megazone Cloud plans to expand into the global market.

The unit head said, 「There will not be many companies, not just domestically but globally, that can support the entire lifecycle from security planning to operations,」 and stated, 「We plan to solidify our services in Korea by the first half of next year, and then target the global market centered on Megazone Cloud's overseas subsidiaries.」

He continued, 「I want to prove how much practical help we can provide to customers when a company that does well in cloud also does well in security,」 and added, 「Based on major cases at home and abroad, we will focus on technology and service development to firmly establish ourselves in the cloud and AI security domain.」
