MegazoneCloud, Hana Tour Build 'AI Package Itinerary Design Service'

Megazone Cloud (CEO Yom Dong-hoon), a leading AI and cloud company, has successfully built an 'AI Package Itinerary Design Service' for Hana Tour, a leading domestic travel company.

The 'AI Package Itinerary Design Service' is an AI-based solution that supports travel product planners (MDs) in automatically composing new package itineraries. Based on its generative AI service 'AIR Services', Megazone Cloud structured Hana Tour's vast travel data so that AI can understand and utilize it, and developed an AI agent in a form applicable to actual operations by linking it with a large language model (LLM).

For this service implementation, Megazone Cloud applied Claude based on Amazon Bedrock and its own Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technology. RAG is a technology designed to enable large language models to search internal databases and external information in real-time beyond simple pre-trained data and reflect them in responses.

Using this technology, Megazone Cloud built an AI Package Itinerary Design Service that can integrate and analyze Hana Tour's internal package product information and external travel trend data, and design customized travel itineraries optimized for customer demand. AI patterns travel itineraries, destination combinations, length of stay, and travel routes, and by learning from them, recommends more accurate and optimized travel itineraries. By automatically collecting the latest travel trends, popular content, and real-time local information through web searches, it can also propose travel itineraries that reflect trends.

With the adoption of this AI service, MDs can now compose package itineraries in various ways and efficiently conduct preliminary design and review. Additionally, by automatically collecting and analyzing the latest data, time spent on information search is reduced, and overall work efficiency is greatly improved. As itinerary planning work that relied on manual labor becomes automated through AI, work efficiency as well as diversity and creativity in itinerary composition are expected to increase further.

Prior to this, Megazone Cloud also successfully built an AI consultation system for Hana Tour using AIR Services. With the adoption of the AI consultation system, customers can now quickly and accurately check standardized information such as airline policy guidance and reservation cancellation fee inquiries. A feature has also been added where AI analyzes recent interests based on the customer's inquiry history and automatically provides optimal information. Even without users asking questions, AI proactively recommends travel itineraries and products tailored to their interests.

Additionally, Megazone Cloud combined RAG technology and data engineering capabilities to design a customized data model that enables integrated search not only of detailed reservation information such as packages, flights, and hotels, but also existing consultation history. Through this, the accuracy and reliability of AI responses have been dramatically improved, and advanced personalized consultations based on reservations have become possible, greatly improving customer service quality.
