MegazoneCloud showcases cloud and AI media production innovation at Busan International Film Festival ACFM

  • Experience 3 types of SPACE solutions, AI video search demonstration…Content creators focus attention

Megazone Cloud (CEO Yom Dong-hoon), a leading AI and cloud company, introduced media production solutions applying cloud and AI technology at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), held as part of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), drawing keen interest from visitors.

Megazone Cloud jointly set up a booth with Amazon Web Services (AWS) at the ACFM held at BEXCO Hall 2 in Busan from the 20th to 23rd, introducing a media-specialized solution that connects the entire process from video planning, editing, rendering, asset management, to distribution on a cloud basis.

At the ACFM 2025 venue in BEXCO Hall 2, Busan, a Megazone Cloud employee is explaining cloud-based media production solutions to foreign visitors at the booth.

Megazone Cloud demonstrated the process of implementing high-definition video editing on a general laptop with low-spec built-in GPU using SPACE Edit, a self-developed cloud video editing solution, at the exhibition booth. Visitors experienced accessing high-spec computing resources in the cloud with this laptop, running video editing programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, and smoothly editing multiple scenes and effects in high resolution.

Megazone Cloud also demonstrated AI-based video search functionality through collaboration with AI startup Twelve Labs. This technology, which allows users to describe desired scenes in natural language and have AI quickly find the corresponding scenes, attracted attention from content creators at the venue.

SPACE Render and SPACE DAM were also introduced at the booth. SPACE Render is a cloud render farm construction solution based on AWS Deadline Cloud, providing an environment that automatically scales according to project size and workload, enabling rapid processing of large-scale rendering while efficiently managing resource usage and costs. SPACE DAM is a content asset management system that integrates and manages various content assets such as videos, images, and subtitles, and can distribute completed content to various channels such as YouTube and OTT.

Kim Do-yeon, CEO of Studio Target, a video production company that visited the booth, said, "SPACE DAM goes beyond simple storage and has all the functions needed in actual production sites such as video management and subtitle management, showing high potential for use in small studios," and added, "I was impressed by the ability to simplify the complicated archiving process through cloud-based solutions."

In the technical session, Choi Jae-hyuk, manager of Megazone Cloud's Cloud Tech Unit, took the stage as a speaker and shared the necessity and cases of cloud transformation centered on SPACE Render, a cloud rendering solution. Manager Choi said, "Existing on-premise render farms had many constraints on content production speed and flexibility due to resource limitations and operational burdens," and "Through the cloud, resources can be flexibly expanded at the necessary time, which is effective in both work efficiency and cost aspects."
