MegazoneCloud builds generative AI chatbot for Purgo Biologics

Megazone Cloud (CEO Yom Dong-hun), an AI and cloud specialist company, successfully completed a generative AI-based chatbot construction project for Purgo Biologics, a specialized dental biomaterial company.

This project marks the first case of generative AI chatbot adoption in Korea's dental biomaterial industry, featuring the ability to provide not only text but also image and video responses. Megazone Cloud built the chatbot over approximately two months based on its proprietary AI platform 'Megazone AIR Studio'. Megazone AIR is an integrated AI brand that consolidates Megazone Cloud's AI technology and construction experience, encompassing consulting, construction, and operation services necessary for generative AI adoption.

Purgo Biologics develops and supplies various biomaterials, primarily producing high-tech products used in specialized medical settings such as dentistry. These products have complex structures and usage methods, and clinical data includes specialized content, making detailed and accurate information delivery crucial in customer interactions. However, due to the diverse product line and specialized explanations, sales personnel faced limitations in consistently delivering all information in real-time. There has been accumulated demand within the company for a system to quickly verify product manuals and internal regulations among employees.

In response to this demand, Megazone Cloud simultaneously constructed a product consultation chatbot for external customers and an internal work support chatbot for employees. Both chatbots were designed based on generative AI technology to enhance information accessibility and response quality for customers and employees respectively.

Megazone Cloud refined and structured vast amounts of product descriptions, clinical data, SCI-level papers, sales field Q&A, and actual clinical cases owned by Purgo Biologics, processing them into forms optimized for AI learning to establish an AI-Ready Data Foundation. The AI-Ready Data Foundation secures reliable data in real-time and connects it for AI utilization.

Based on this, Megazone Cloud implemented an Amazon Bedrock-based RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system, creating a high-precision chatbot environment that combines real-time document search and response generation. Additionally, customized preprocessing optimized for Purgo Biologics' product characteristics was applied to maximize response accuracy and quality.

Considering that Purgo Biologics' products often require visual explanation, the chatbot was equipped with functionality to provide visual information such as product images and clinical videos. Users can intuitively confirm actual cases and product structures beyond text, improving comprehension and consultation efficiency.

Furthermore, to safely manage sensitive medical data, Megazone Cloud prioritized security from the chatbot design stage. Visual materials are provided through temporary links accessible only for a certain period, preventing unauthorized access. Short URLs were also applied to improve response speed and user convenience.
