MegazoneCloud Builds 'Group Joint Cloud Platform' with Woori Bank

• First commercial bank to adopt automated development and deployment system... strengthening both speed and quality

Megazone Cloud (CEO Yom Dong-hoon), a leading AI and cloud company, has successfully completed the 「Group Joint Cloud Platform Construction」 project for Woori Bank.

Woori Bank's 「Group Joint Cloud Platform」 construction is a project to build an environment that can integrate and operate a Platform as a Service (PaaS) that supports internal development and operations, and a public cloud that leverages external infrastructure and new technologies.

Woori Bank has been gradually building a cloud environment across the Woori Financial Group since 2019, and currently operates approximately 130 tasks including Woori WON Wallet and Open API services on a cloud basis. In this project, Megazone Cloud took charge of the final stage of cloud platform construction, establishing a PaaS environment and establishing a governance system for public cloud utilization.

The project was conducted over one year starting in September last year, and Megazone Cloud built a cloud environment that meets the strict security requirements required for the financial industry while enabling rapid development and operation of digital services. Megazone Cloud oversaw the entire process from design to construction and establishment of operational management systems, laying the core foundation for Woori Bank's digital transformation, including building a platform portal for easy utilization of cloud resources and establishing a governance system.

The PaaS environment was implemented based on Red Hat's OpenShift, which has proven stability by global standards, and completed a comprehensive platform system including a portal to manage it and an automated environment for development and deployment.

Additionally, Megazone Cloud built CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) that meets the requirements of financial regulatory authorities for the first time among commercial banks in this project. CI/CD is a technology that automates the entire process of developing and deploying software, where developers write code and testing, approval, and deployment are automatically processed. Through this, service deployment speed has been shortened and errors or security issues can be prevented in advance.

Furthermore, Megazone Cloud directly designed and built a public cloud-based governance system to meet the demanding security and regulatory requirements of the financial sector. Reflecting Woori Bank's standard security policies as well as domestic and international certification standards such as ISMS-P and ISO27001, an optimized security and operational management system was established so that the bank can operate services with confidence.
