MIRAE ASSET Group, established in 1997, is a global investment company offering investment services to advanced capital markets including China, India and the US. It has various affiliates including MIRAE ASSET Securities, MIRAE ASSET Life, MIRAE ASSET Capital and MIRAE ASSET Management.
Among them, MIRAE ASSET Management invests in good global assets based on global network. It sells MIRAE ASSET fund and offers investment solution in 30 countries.

Challenge

  • A significant portion of customer and potential customer marketing relies on the Mirae Asset Global Investments website (which includes both a main website for core business and subsidiary websites), but the existing colocation servers, storage, network, and related systems used to operate the website are becoming outdated and performance is starting to suffer.
  • The website’s performance is further degraded by hard disk drives that have reached capacity limits.
  • A transition to a new infrastructure that can support the current state of the website is necessary.

  • Performed PoC for AWS migration of web server, database, and homepage system
