1. Overview (Project Background)

Shinhan Card set its core objective to respond agilely to the rapidly changing digital finance market and provide high-quality services to users quickly. To achieve this, the company pursued a project to innovate existing development and deployment methods and strengthen development productivity and operational stability through build optimization and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) advancement. Megazone Cloud led the project to success by establishing an optimal development and operations environment tailored to the financial sector's strict requirements and providing expert knowledge and technical support.

2. Challenge (Problem Definition)

• Aging build scripts and increased management costs: Existing build scripts were outdated, leading to continuously increasing maintenance and management costs.

• Limitations in development productivity and operational stability: Due to inadequate CI/CD systems, the efficiency of development, build, and deployment processes was low, which ultimately affected service operational stability.

• Need for transition to modern development environment: The necessity of adopting modern development tools and dedicated solutions to strengthen the CI/CD system became apparent.

3. Solution (Resolution Approach)

Megazone Cloud supported Shinhan Card's development innovation through optimal development/operations environment establishment and systematic training.

• Build optimization and CI/CD integration: We analyzed the outdated build environment and implemented an optimized build solution. By advancing the CI/CD pipeline and establishing a mutually flexible integration structure, we realized automation of the entire development-test-deployment process.

• Modern solutions and systematic technical support: Based on expert knowledge in open source, infrastructure, operations, security, and other areas of DevOps, we implemented modern development tools and provided systematic technical support through organic collaboration with customer representatives.

• Capability enhancement through training: Beyond system implementation, we promoted internalization through systematic training. Based on diverse successful case experiences including customer requirement understanding and analysis, and analysis-based platform integration design, we presented optimal solutions.

4. Result (Achievements)

Through the CI/CD and build optimization project, Shinhan Card achieved results that simultaneously strengthened development organization productivity and service operational stability.
